Mars Men review · Updated August 2026
Mars Men has become one of the most heavily advertised testosterone supplements online. Its black-and-red packaging, transformation stories and strong social media presence make a simple pitch: five capsules a day, eight ingredients, and a natural route to better male performance.
But how good is Mars Men once you ignore the ads and read the label? We reviewed the current formula, doses, price, customer feedback, side effects and subscription model, then compared it directly with Testogen Ultimate.

Testogen Ultimate
Multi-pathway testosterone support

Mars Men
Tongkat-led testosterone stack
Quick verdict: Mars Men is a legitimate, well-dosed testosterone-support formula with some real strengths. The current direct-to-consumer version gives you 1,000 mg Tongkat Ali, 675 mg fenugreek, 675 mg taurine, 400 mg shilajit, 4,000 IU Vitamin D, 30 mg zinc and supporting Vitamin K and boron.
Its weakness is not that the formula is empty. It is that most of its strategy is concentrated into a small number of high-dose ingredients. Testogen Ultimate takes the broader testosterone-specific approach, adding D-Aspartic Acid, KSM-66® Ashwagandha, magnesium, stinging nettle, Korean ginseng, active B6, copper and BioPerine® around the same high-dose Vitamin D and zinc foundation.
Mars Men vs Testogen: the short version
The two products overlap on Vitamin D, Vitamin K, zinc, fenugreek and boron, but the rest of the formulas are very different.

What is Mars Men?
Mars Men Natural Testosterone Support is a US supplement aimed at men looking for more energy, better gym performance, improved drive and support for healthy testosterone.
The brand has grown through direct-response advertising, founder-led marketing, transformation stories and endorsements from health and performance personalities. Its website currently positions the product as an eight-ingredient formula and recommends taking five capsules each morning with food.
Mars Men also leans heavily on a 90-day use window. That is sensible in one respect: natural supplements should not be judged after three or four days. The more questionable part is when marketing timelines imply that specific hormonal or body-composition changes will happen predictably by a particular week. Individual responses are much less tidy than that.
Mars Men ingredients: what is actually in it?
The current Mars Men direct-to-consumer site presents an eight-ingredient formula.
Swipe left and right to see the full table.
| Ingredient | Published daily amount | Our assessment |
|---|---|---|
| Tongkat Ali | 1,000 mg | The defining ingredient in the formula. Human evidence is promising but heterogeneous, and extract identity matters. |
| Fenugreek | 675 mg | A substantial raw dose. Research on fenugreek is extract-specific, so standardisation matters as much as milligrams. |
| Taurine | 675 mg | Useful performance-oriented amino acid, although not one of the strongest direct testosterone ingredients. |
| Shilajit | 400 mg | Interesting male-health ingredient with human data on a specific purified preparation. |
| Vitamin D3 | 4,000 IU | A substantial daily amount and the same headline dose used by Testogen. |
| Zinc | 30 mg | High daily dose. Zinc is important for normal testosterone physiology, particularly where deficiency exists. |
| Vitamin K1 & K2 | 100 mcg listed | A sensible inclusion alongside high-dose Vitamin D. |
| Boron | 4 mg | Common in testosterone formulas, but the human testosterone evidence remains limited. |
One important issue: Mars Men currently has more than one formula in circulation
This is worth knowing before comparing labels.
The Mars Men direct-to-consumer website currently advertises the eight-ingredient formula above: 1,000 mg Tongkat Ali, 675 mg fenugreek, 675 mg taurine, 400 mg shilajit, 30 mg zinc, 4,000 IU Vitamin D, Vitamin K1/K2 and 4 mg boron.
At the time of this review, GNC was also selling a Mars Men Natural Testosterone Support product with a different Supplement Facts panel. That version lists 11 actives, adds cistanche and copper, and changes several botanical doses, including 500 mg Tongkat Ali, 500 mg fenugreek and 500 mg shilajit.
Why this matters: Mars Men may be transitioning formulas or supplying a different retail version. If you buy it, check the actual Supplement Facts panel on the bottle you receive rather than assuming every Mars Men review online is describing the same product.
For the main comparison in this article, we use the eight-ingredient formula shown on Mars Men's own direct-to-consumer site, because that is the version most customers reach from its advertising.
Does Mars Men actually work?
Mars Men has a better evidence story than many generic testosterone boosters, but that still does not make the finished product clinically proven.
Tongkat Ali
Tongkat Ali, or Eurycoma longifolia, is the biggest reason to consider Mars Men. A 2022 systematic review and meta-analysis found a significant increase in total testosterone across the included clinical trials, with effects appearing particularly relevant in men with lower testosterone. The studies varied substantially, however, and different extracts and populations were used.
Mars Men supplies a large 1,000 mg headline dose on its current DTC page. What is less clear from that page is the precise standardisation of the extract, which makes a direct comparison with individual clinical trials difficult.
Shilajit
Purified shilajit also has interesting human data. In one randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in healthy men aged 45–55, a specific purified shilajit preparation at 250 mg twice daily increased total and free testosterone after 90 days.
Mars Men's 400 mg dose is therefore not trivial, but again the study was conducted on a defined purified material. Research on one shilajit preparation cannot automatically be transferred to every generic extract on the market.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek has been studied repeatedly in men's health. Recent systematic-review evidence suggests there may be a small favourable effect on total testosterone, but the certainty is low and results vary substantially between extracts.
This is why the number 675 mg does not tell the whole story. Mars Men supplies a large amount, while Testogen supplies a smaller but highly standardised extract. These are not directly interchangeable doses.
Vitamin D and zinc
Both are important nutrients for normal male physiology. Their clearest value is in avoiding or correcting inadequacy. Taking more zinc or Vitamin D does not mean testosterone rises indefinitely in someone who already has adequate status.
Our read: there is enough evidence behind several Mars Men ingredients to make the formula credible. What is not established is that five Mars Men capsules will reliably produce the dramatic numerical testosterone changes sometimes featured in supplement marketing.
Mars Men side effects: what should you know?
Mars Men is hormone-free and does not contain anabolic steroids or prescription testosterone. That does not mean every ingredient is appropriate for every person.
Potential considerations include:
- Digestive upset: five capsules containing several gram-level or near-gram-level botanicals can cause nausea or stomach discomfort in some users.
- High zinc intake: 30 mg per day is a substantial supplemental dose. Long-term high zinc intake can interfere with copper balance, particularly if your other supplements also contain zinc.
- Vitamin D stacking: Mars Men already supplies 4,000 IU daily, so check any multivitamin, standalone Vitamin D or fortified products you also use.
- Fenugreek: may affect blood glucose and can interact with some medications.
- Tongkat Ali and shilajit: botanical extracts vary in composition and may not suit everyone.
- Vitamin K: can be particularly relevant if you use anticoagulant medication such as warfarin.
If you take prescription medication, have a medical condition or are investigating genuinely low testosterone, check the full formula with a doctor or pharmacist before use.
Mars Men reviews: what do customers say?
The review picture is more mixed than the Mars Men homepage alone suggests.
When checked in August 2026, Mars Men's own website displayed a rating of approximately 4.77/5 from more than 5,000 reviews. Its independent Trustpilot profile was substantially lower at around 3.7/5 from roughly 2,000 reviews.
That gap does not prove that either score is wrong. On-site and independent review systems collect feedback in different ways and from different customer groups. But it is large enough that anyone researching a product should look at more than the rating printed next to the buy button.
Positive Mars Men review themes
Recent positive reviewers commonly mention:
- steadier energy
- better motivation to train
- improved stamina
- better sleep or recovery
- feeling generally better after several weeks
Negative Mars Men review themes
The main complaints in recent independent reviews include:
- little or no noticeable effect
- unexpected or earlier-than-expected subscription shipments
- difficulty cancelling or obtaining a refund
- customer-service delays
There are also plenty of positive independent reviews, so this is not evidence that Mars Men is a scam. It is evidence that the real-world customer experience is more variable than the strongest testimonials suggest.
Is Mars Men legit?
Yes. Mars Men is a real supplement brand, its product is sold through established US retailer GNC as well as its own direct-to-consumer operation, and the company publishes ingredient and testing information.
The better question is not whether Mars Men is legitimate. It is whether its particular ingredient strategy, subscription model and price are the best fit for you.
How many Mars Men capsules do you take?
The current Mars Men instructions recommend five capsules each morning with food.
Testogen Ultimate requires four capsules per day, usually split as two after breakfast and two after lunch.
Neither is a tiny serving, but Testogen has the small convenience advantage here.
How long does Mars Men take to work?
Mars Men recommends consistent use and promotes a 90-day transformation window. Its own product information suggests some users may notice energy-related changes within the first few weeks.
We would treat any rigid week-by-week promise cautiously. Sleep, stress, diet, training status, age and baseline nutrient or hormone levels can all affect what somebody notices and when.
If your goal is specifically to find out whether your testosterone level changed, subjective energy is a poor proxy. Comparable blood tests taken under similar conditions are much more informative.
Mars Men subscription: what should you know before ordering?
Mars Men is built heavily around subscription.
At the time of this review, its main direct-to-consumer offer advertised a $59 30-day subscription price against a much higher one-time purchase price of around $118. A 90-day commitment was also advertised at approximately $47 per bottle.
The company states that subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through the customer's account and provides a 90-day first-order guarantee. However, cancellation and unexpected renewal complaints are a recurring theme in independent reviews.
If you subscribe, our practical advice is simple: read the renewal terms at checkout, keep your confirmation email and note the next billing date.
What about buying Mars Men in the UK?
UK buyers have one extra issue to consider: Tongkat Ali.
In Great Britain, novel foods require authorisation before they can be legally placed on the market. Historical UK Advisory Committee on Novel Foods documents show that Tongkat Ali root extract has been assessed through the novel-food process, but we could not find Eurycoma longifolia or Tongkat Ali in the current Great Britain register of authorised novel foods when this article was checked.
That does not mean a consumer possessing Mars Men is committing an offence, and it is not a statement that Tongkat Ali is inherently unsafe. It does mean the UK regulatory position is less straightforward than it is in the US.
If you are ordering Mars Men into Great Britain, check the current Food Standards Agency position and import terms before purchasing.
Where Mars Men is stronger than Testogen
A useful comparison should give Mars Men the categories it genuinely wins.
1. Tongkat Ali
If Tongkat Ali is specifically the ingredient you want, Mars Men wins immediately. Testogen Ultimate does not contain it.
Mars Men's current DTC formula lists 1,000 mg per day, and systematic-review evidence makes Tongkat one of the more interesting botanical ingredients in the natural-testosterone category.
2. Shilajit
Mars Men supplies 400 mg. Testogen does not use shilajit.
That is a genuine advantage, particularly for buyers specifically looking for the Tongkat + shilajit combination.
3. Taurine
The 675 mg taurine dose gives Mars Men another useful performance-oriented ingredient that Testogen does not contain.
4. A larger fenugreek dose by weight
Mars Men lists 675 mg fenugreek versus 100 mg in Testogen.
We would not call that a 6.75-times stronger fenugreek dose because extract concentration and standardisation matter. Testogen's extract is standardised to at least 50% saponins. Mars Men's current DTC page does not make an equivalent standardisation clear.
5. Slightly more zinc
Mars Men supplies 30 mg compared with Testogen's 25 mg. Whether more is desirable is another question, but Mars Men wins the raw number.
Where Testogen Ultimate goes further
This is where our preference changes.
Mars Men places a lot of formula weight behind Tongkat Ali, fenugreek, taurine and shilajit. Testogen spreads its formula across more distinct testosterone-relevant pathways.
1. D-Aspartic Acid at 2,025 mg
Mars Men contains none. Testogen makes D-Aspartic Acid the largest ingredient in the entire formula.
The research on DAA is mixed, so we do not present it as a guaranteed testosterone booster. Some trials have failed to show a benefit in resistance-trained men. Its value in this comparison is that Testogen dedicates a gram-level portion of its serving to a compound specifically studied around testosterone signalling rather than relying primarily on botanicals.
2. KSM-66® Ashwagandha
Testogen contains 200 mg of KSM-66®. Mars Men does not contain ashwagandha.
Ashwagandha is one of the better-researched herbs in the men's health category, with human studies across stress, exercise and male reproductive outcomes. Using a named standardized extract also makes the ingredient easier to compare with published research than an unspecified herb powder.
3. Magnesium plus active B6
Testogen adds 80 mg magnesium from bisglycinate and citrate plus 8 mg P5P Vitamin B6. Neither appears in the current eight-ingredient Mars Men formula.
4. Stinging nettle and Korean ginseng
Testogen includes 80 mg concentrated stinging nettle root and 100 mg Panax ginseng standardized to at least 5% ginsenosides.
They give the formula additional male-health and vitality coverage without simply increasing the dose of the same core ingredients.
5. Copper alongside high-dose zinc
Testogen includes 0.5 mg copper bisglycinate alongside its 25 mg zinc dose.
This matters because chronically high zinc intake can interfere with copper status. The Mars Men direct-to-consumer formula currently advertises 30 mg zinc but does not list copper among its eight core actives. A different current GNC Mars Men label does include copper, which is another reason to check which formula you are actually buying.
6. BioPerine®
Testogen adds 7 mg BioPerine®, a standardized black pepper extract used as a bioavailability ingredient. Mars Men's current formula does not include a dedicated absorption enhancer.
7. A more developed formulation framework
Testogen Ultimate is the fourth generation of a product first launched in 2014. Its current ENDOSYSTEM™ framework groups the formula around Signal, Protect and Absorb rather than simply presenting a list of ingredients.
You do not have to buy the branding to see the practical difference: Testogen combines amino acids, vitamins, minerals, adaptogens, male-health botanicals and an absorption ingredient rather than relying mainly on a small number of high-dose herbal actives.

Mars Men vs Testogen price
Price is more complicated than the first number on either website.
Swipe left and right to compare prices.
| Option | Testogen Ultimate | Mars Men | Our view |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single month / one-time | $69.99 | Approx. $118 | Testogen is substantially cheaper for a no-subscription single order. |
| Recurring / subscription | 15% saving where available | Approx. $59/month | Mars Men makes much more sense on subscription than one-time purchase. |
| 3-month commitment | Approx. $46.66/month on current 3-bottle pricing | Approx. $47/bottle on current 90-day offer | Effectively level. |
| Best Testogen bundle | Approx. $41.99/month on current 5-bottle pricing | — | Testogen can have the lower effective bottle price at larger bundle size. |
| Money-back period | 100 days | 90 days | Small Testogen advantage. |
Pricing changes frequently and can vary by market, subscription status and promotion. Check the checkout price before ordering.
The key point is that Mars Men's heavily discounted $59 price is tied to the subscription proposition. If you want to buy a single bottle without recurring delivery, Testogen's headline price is currently much lower.
At three months, the difference is negligible. Testogen becomes cheaper again on its larger current bundle.

Mars Men FAQ
Is Mars Men any good?
Yes. The current formula contains meaningful quantities of Tongkat Ali, fenugreek, taurine and shilajit plus high-dose Vitamin D and zinc. We consider it a credible formula, although Testogen offers a broader range of testosterone-support ingredients.
Does Mars Men actually work?
Several individual Mars Men ingredients have supportive human research, particularly Tongkat Ali, fenugreek and purified shilajit. That does not prove that the complete Mars Men product will substantially raise testosterone in every user.
Is Mars Men a scam?
No. Mars Men is a real supplement brand and the product is also sold by established retailer GNC. Independent customer feedback is mixed, particularly around results and subscription management, but that is different from the product being a scam.
What are the main Mars Men side effects?
Possible issues include stomach upset, reactions to botanical extracts and nutrient stacking. Pay particular attention to the 30 mg zinc, 4,000 IU Vitamin D and Vitamin K if you already take other supplements or relevant medications.
How many Mars Men capsules should I take?
The current Mars Men instructions say five capsules per day, taken in the morning with food.
How long does Mars Men take to work?
Mars Men encourages consistent use for up to 90 days. Some customers report subjective changes earlier, but there is no reliable timetable that applies to everyone.
Does Mars Men contain Tongkat Ali?
Yes. The current Mars Men direct-to-consumer formula lists 1,000 mg Tongkat Ali per daily serving. A different current retail label listed by GNC shows 500 mg, so check the Supplement Facts on the specific version you buy.
Why do some Mars Men reviews show different ingredients?
Because more than one formula appears to be in circulation. The current Mars Men DTC site shows an eight-ingredient formula, while a current GNC listing shows a different label with additional cistanche and copper and different doses. Older reviews may describe still earlier versions.
How do I cancel a Mars Men subscription?
Mars Men states that subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through the customer account. Because independent reviews include complaints about cancellation friction, it is sensible to keep your order confirmation and check the next billing date as soon as you subscribe.
Can you buy Mars Men in the UK?
Mars Men markets internationally, but UK buyers should check the current regulatory position on Tongkat Ali and any import terms before ordering. Tongkat Ali is not a normal authorised vitamin/mineral ingredient in Great Britain.
Can I take Mars Men and Testogen together?
We would not recommend it. Both contain high-dose Vitamin D, zinc, Vitamin K, fenugreek and boron. Combining them would unnecessarily increase several nutrient and botanical intakes.
Is Testogen better than Mars Men?
For someone specifically wanting Tongkat Ali and shilajit, Mars Men has the advantage. For a broader testosterone-support formula with DAA, KSM-66® Ashwagandha, magnesium, nettle, ginseng, active B6, copper and BioPerine®, we prefer Testogen Ultimate.
What is the best alternative to Mars Men?
If you like the testosterone-support positioning but want a broader formula rather than a Tongkat-led stack, our preferred alternative is Testogen Ultimate. This comparison is published by Testogen, so our commercial interest in that recommendation is disclosed below.
Mars Men review: our final verdict
Mars Men is better than a lot of the criticism aimed at heavily advertised testosterone supplements would suggest.
The current formula has substance. A gram of Tongkat Ali, 675 mg fenugreek, 675 mg taurine and 400 mg shilajit are not token label doses. The brand also uses 4,000 IU Vitamin D and 30 mg zinc, is third-party tested, and gives customers a 90-day guarantee.
If your ideal testosterone stack starts with Tongkat Ali + shilajit, Mars Men deserves a place on the shortlist.
But the formula is also quite concentrated. Once you remove Tongkat, shilajit and taurine, much of what remains overlaps with the vitamin, mineral and fenugreek foundation found in other testosterone products.
Testogen Ultimate adds more distinct layers: 2,025 mg D-Aspartic Acid, KSM-66® Ashwagandha, magnesium, stinging nettle, Korean ginseng, active B6, copper and BioPerine®, while matching Mars Men's 4,000 IU Vitamin D and staying close on zinc.
It also uses one fewer capsule, has a longer 100-day guarantee, a longer product history, and is currently cheaper if you want a one-off bottle or its larger bundle.
For a focused Tongkat Ali stack: Mars Men is a credible choice.
For the more comprehensive testosterone-support formula: our choice is Testogen Ultimate.

This article is published by the Testogen editorial team. Testogen is owned and operated by the publisher, so we have a commercial interest in this comparison.
We have tried to make that interest clear rather than present this as an independent third-party review. Mars Men formula, pricing, dosing and product claims were checked against current published Mars Men information and a current GNC retail listing in August 2026. Independent-review figures were checked separately. Mars Men and retailer labels currently differ, so always verify the Supplement Facts on the product you receive.
